Ciao Chile!

Chile has been a great experience. I learned many things ranging from engineering to learning how to be patient...I have so many stories to tell, many advices to pass on, a million of pictures to share, and most of all love to share!

I spent my last weekend in Santiago and had a great time with my host sister/friend! I am sad because I am living a piece of me here in Chile, did not get to do everything I wanted to do and my luggage is heavy! But the last two months and week will be forever treasured in my heart!

I want to take the time to THANK everyone here in Chile that had any contact with me because you all made a difference in me even in the smallest way. I hope to return one day and see all your lovely faces!

Spontaneous Week 2

We planned a canopy/horseback trip and above you see the crew (Alina-Me-Amanda-Rachel)

I felt like a monkey zip lining through all the trees!

View from the highest point of the canopy.

Horse Riding was SWEET!

we went up the dunes...

then on the beach...Rachel took this picture of me. Sunset was beautiful!

We found a Horse Track and decided to attend a Horse Race...the horse were pretty

This guy looked at the camera at the right time...

Their legs were high up to be able to stand up a little we think...

Horse track

We only saw one race because it was not very exciting and they were 30 minutes apart...fun times!

Famous Museum in Vina that contains artifacts and monuments of Easter Island (Closed due to earthquake damage.)

This is the closes I came Easter Island...

Wine Trip/Tour to Maipo Valley our list of vineyards to see!

Primero Chocolan-we tasted tree different wines, saw a little bit of the inside and ate crackers and nuts.

...the inside of Chocolan, very nice setup!

Segundo Undurraga-we tasted four different wines, talked to the guide about other wineries and ate crackers.

...their place was very nice and they were kind to us we got a nice glass from them!

Attempting Santa Ema-FAILED we were only able to see the outside!

Our tour guide was lost for most of the time so when we saw this sign we were really happy!

Tercero Santa Rita-This vineyard is rated #2 in Chile, at this place we drank so much wine I can not remember which one I liked best...just kidding we tasted five wines and had a tour of the inside. The guide there had a mission to get us drunk!

We started with a vino tinto...

and ended taking a dessert wine home after drinking one there...they gave us a glass too!

Since Carmen was near by we stopped by just to look at the vines and take crazy semi drunk pictures!

Can you tell how happy we were....

Cuarto-Concha y Toro-This place is rated #1 in Chile (hint why we left the best for last). Here we were given a legit wine tour of the inside an out and tried one of their wines!

Beginning of the tour (Joe-Rachel-Amanda-Me-tour guide driver Jose Luis)

Inside Casiderilla del Diablo...

...had enough wine that night to make me happy!

On random nights we would play cards...this was the first time I won!

We were told that Divino Pecado was the place to try before leaving Vina, since it was Rachel's last full day she decided to have her last lunch there...it was really good!

POTLUCK-we love them...this time Amanda and Rachel were the ones leaving so we had to cook a feast!

This time we were making enchiladas...beef, fish, chicken with cheese!

Alina made a MAD salad with all kinds of goodies!

SWEET, first pan done!

Eric's pizza with peanut sauce, chicken, cheese, and scallions!

The final stage of the enchiladas!

Joe bought wine...CASA RIVAS! (They are in Maipo too but because they were not on our route we did not go taste their wine...)

We do clean our house...Rachel loves to sweep...

Joe and Alina enjoy washing dishes...

Eric likes to redecorate and build stuff...

Michelle and Amanda love to help even though here it seems like they are chillin...and I cook not clean...i do help though!
