Day 5- Tilaran the city, Community Service project, Eco Homes

The day started by going to Tilaran, a main city nearby, every town has a town center which is defined by a square in the middle and this was the middle.
Super Compro is the grocery store we bought all our goodies from. Next to it is a restaurant called Mary's were most of us had brunch. I had a chicken sandwich which was really good with pineapple juice.
The artwork on the walls were very pretty this one was one of my favorite, sailboat and wind turbines.
Walking around, do we look like tourist? If you look closely you can see the turbines....
Sweet looking mural, the colors are so rich.
This one is my favorita!
Kat and I swinging, trying to reach the tree limbs.
On our way to the community service project...
Installing water gutters to recycle rainwater which would travel....
(this is showing how we glued the parts together)
to the tank where the water can be stored and then used.
Lift them up boys and girls, I was too short for the job!
Group picture with the family, they were happy!
Inside JP's Eco home, by far the best looking house I have seen. It's small but so sustainable!
The drawers, small fridge and oven (you can barely see it).
Very interesting windows...
Bedroom...
My favorite the bathroom with Jefferson French doors to the outside where you can see the beautiful rain forest unfortunately Andrew was blocking the view.
Two showers, local self water and city water thinking smart!
Bamboo artwork on the wall and
painting are always better than frames!
JP calls his house the BOOMERANG!
Green Roof!
This next house is in the making but it already looks sweet....
...this is what the mechanics of the French door look like under...
The sink with beautiful marble (i think that is it)
The view from the top...
This is going to be the window where the bathroom is located and it will have a picture that reflects the view seen on the picture above very sweet idea. Cannot wait to go back and see the final product.

This day was full of adventures and I cannot wait for tomorrow!

Pura Vida!
Jessica
